Clearing for international students

If you're an international student who is looking to start an undergraduate course with us in September and haven't applied during the main cycle, you may be able to get a place through Clearing.
Clearing takes place between July and October every year. During Clearing, we advertise which of our courses still have places available, and in some subjects we may consider applicants who have achieved slightly lower grades than our standard entry requirements.
Please see the key dates for September 2026 intake.
Plan ahead for Clearing
Please bear in mind that we have limited places available and courses do fill up quickly, so please plan ahead for Clearing, and ensure you have your personal information handy when you call.
All applicants must also satisfy our English language requirements for their intended course and immigration regulations.
There are two ways into Clearing:
You’ve already made an application through UCAS and received your results
Email: international.enquiries@bcu.ac.uk or contact the Clearing hotline on +44 (0)121 331 6777 (hotline opens at 7.30am, Thursday 13 August 2026), making sure you have your UCAS Personal ID Number to hand. If we make you an offer, we’ll advise you to submit a Clearing application via UCAS track. If you’re holding an offer from another university, you’ll need UCAS to release you.
You haven’t applied for a course through UCAS
Email: international.enquiries@bcu.ac.uk or contact the Clearing hotline on +44 (0)121 331 6777 (hotline opens at 7.30am, Thursday 13 August 2026), and we’ll advise you about applying for a course.
