Raxona Khanum
Raxona was employed as Lecturer in Law at BCU in 2019 after working in the legal field for over 10 years. She qualified as a solicitor 2013. Raxona has worked in personal injury, clinical negligence and immigration law.
She also worked at the University of Birmingham in International Studenty Advisory Team, and as a Resident Tutor and Academic Advisor at Keele University.
Her core approach to teaching employs a problem-based approach or gamification to learning to encourage students to evaluate and apply legal concepts and principles to practical casework. Raxona supports students to understand the value of education and to challenge the limits of their learning.
She is currently undertaking a PhD Law at the University of Birmingham on the topic of emotions, affect and immigration law.
